Talks

Mike’s talks and presentations combine his extensive knowledge of the music industry with his experience as a qualified lecturer in further education – to produce absorbing ‘talks and presentations with a difference’ – and which are truly unique in each of their respective fields.

THE STORY so far ...

For the best part of a decade Mike has been touring the UK delivering music-themed talks and presentations - interspersed with a number of song excerpts – sometimes sung by Mike ...

sometimes via pre-recorded material.

He decided on this idea to complement his successful 2-hour one-man music show ‘The Roy Orbison & Del Shannon Story’ (see ‘testimonials below) – adapting the storyline and editing it to just under one hour long – and re-titling it ‘Two Kinds of Teardrops’ (the title of one of Del Shannon’s Top Ten hits ).

In addition to his long-running ‘Two Kinds of Teardrops’ talk, Mike has two other popular music-themed talks: The Day The Music Died (the story of Rock ‘n’ Roll) and Your Cheatin’ Heart (the history of Country Music).

Mike has delivered his Talks and Presentations to a variety of groups across the U.K. including: U3A’s, Women’s Institutes, Parkinson’s Society, Tesco Retirement Association, Rotary Clubs, J.A.C.S., Kentara Clubs + many other independent groups.
